Embocraft Training Trust is a craft shop and community training centre based in Botha’s Hill, KwaZulu-Natal. The centre trains local community members on creating arts and crafts that are then sold at the Embocraft store to sustain the establishment. Looking to improve your home security this year? Give us your old burglar bars and security gates, and we’ll give you a 10% discount on your new Wonder Bars home security products! In turn, we donate these traded-in security products to rural school, like Mshwati Primary School, and community upliftment organisations like Embocraft. Embocraft trains community members in skills such as sewing, embroidery, pottery, and metal work. Our donated security products are used in welding classes for skills development, often being deconstructed and rebuilt into stunning metalwork art pieces. |
Entrepreneurship

Our traded-in burglar bars and security gates are cleverly used to develop skills and create art for resale to support the Embocraft trust, but we never thought we’d be contributing to entrepreneurship too! A few more business-minded Embocraft skills training attendees learnt how to work the metal, adapting and often improving the designs, and have started their own home security companies – selling refurbished home security products in their communities. So, when you’re trading in your old burglar bars, you’re actually assisting in job creation! |
